Promising alpine tour to the most southern point of Austria in the Kamniško-Savinjške alpe up to Ledinski vrh and the Vellacherturm (B)
The tour starts at the parking of Logarski dolini at the end of the toll street through the Savinja valley and first follows the beautiful hiking trail up to the amazing Rinka waterfall. It then continues following a steeper and more alpine hiking trail leading towards the Frischaufov dom na Okrešlju (hut). Just before the hut, the tour turn right and passes a stunning alpine pasture. The tour then follows the marked trail up to the Savinjsko sedlo / Sanntaler saddle, which is also the border between Austria and Slovenia. A small detour on the Austrian side leads to the via ferrata that leads up to Vellacherturm. The ferrata (Cat. B) is rather short and ends below the summit. Some easy climbing (UIAA I-) is needed to reach the summit and being able to enjoy the stunning view from there. The tour continues by descending back towards the Sanntaler saddle using the Via Ferrata again, but shortcuts to the visible hiking trail that leads up to the summit of Ledinski vrh. After enjoying the impressive view, the tour follows the same trail back to the parking via the Sanntaler saddle.

| 00:45 | At the crossing, keep left and follow the marked trail westwards. |
| 00:55 | At the crossing, either turn right heading directly towards the Savinjsko sedlo or keep straight for a well-deserved break at Frischaufov dom. |

| 01:15 | Head back to the crossing and keep left. Hike through the alpine pasture and follow the marked trail northwestwards. |
| 01:30 | At the crossing, keep right towards Savinjsko sedlo and follow the trail on the right hand-side of the river bed! |
| 02:00 | Follow the now steep and alpine trail northwards towards Savinjsko sedlo. |
| 02:20 | At the crossing, turn left and continue following the trail towards Savinjsko sedlo. |
| 02:25 | Keep straight (slightly right) and continue following the marked trail towards Savinjsko sedlo. |
| 02:40 | At the border between Slovenia and Austria at the Savinjsko sedlo, first turn left, follow the trail for a few meters and then turn right into the red-white-red marked trail descending towards the start of the via ferrata. |
| 02:50 | Follow the markings (“Klettersteig”) towards the start of the via ferrata. |
| 02:55 | Put on your via ferrata set (harness) and climb up to Vellacherturm following the via ferrata. |
| 03:50 | At the end of the ferrata, keep left and climb up the last meters towards the summit (UIAA I-). |
| 03:55 | Enjoy the impressive view from the summit of Vellacherturm. Obviously best enjoyed with self-brought refreshments ( ). |
| 04:35 | Climb back down towards Savinjsko sedlo using the via ferrata. |
| 05:30 | At the ditch at the end of the ferrata, put off your ferrata set, turn right and shortcut through the ditch towards the visible hiking trail towards Ledinski vrh. |
| 05:35 | Turn right into the hiking trail and follow the trail westwards heading up to Ledinski vrh. |
| 05:40 | At the saddle, turn right and follow the hiking trail leading directly up to Ledinski vrh. |
| 05:50 | Enjoy the impressive view from the summit of Ledinski vrh. Best celebrated with a self-brought refreshment ()! |
| 06:10 | Head back to the Savinjsko sedlo using the same trail as the ascent. This time follow the trail directly to the saddle. |
| 06:30 | At the Savinjsko sedlo, turn right and descend back to the car parking using the same way as for the ascent. |
| 08:00 | Back at the parking, end of the tour. |
