Long but promising alpine tour up to Rax via Zahmes Gamseck (A), Altenberger Steig, Fuchslochsteig (II-) and Reißtalersteig (A/B)

The tour starts at the parking Nasskamm (GPS: 47.706643, 15.658779) and first follows the forest road upwards towards Kleine Nass. The tour then follows the trail towards Gamseck. At the Gupfsattel (saddle), the tour follows the trail straight ahead towards Zahmes Gamseck and ascends via this easy via ferrata (A). After a short break at the Gamseck, the tour then descends using the Altenberger Steig but continues forward along the wall towards Fuchslochsteig. After ascending again via the Fuchslochsteig (UIAA II-), the tour then finally descends using the Reißtalersteig via ferrata (A/B) and leads back towards the parking using the Schutzsteig.

This long tour is an alpine tour and requires a sure foot, basic climbing skills (UIAA II-). For the descent via the Reißtalersteig, a via ferrata set is recommended!
