Traverse the Hohe Wand from Dreistetten to Grünbach
The tour starts at the parking Dreistetten (GPS: 47.855272, 16.099718) and first follows a forest road towards the Einhornhöhle (also the start of “Währingersteig”). The tour then follows the Drobilsteig up to the Herrgottschnitzerhaus.
After a short break, follow the trail next to the road westwards along the Hohe Wand, passing by the Kohlröserlhaus and then towards the main street crossing of the Hohe Wand. There, turn right and again, stay on the trail next to the street. Turn left towards the Engelbertkirche (church) and down to the street. After a few meters, turn right again and follow the trail towards Almfrieden. Stay on the trail westwards towards Gasthof Postl, passing by the Skywalk. At Gasthof Postl, follow the trail westwards towards Gasthof Luf & Hochkogelhaus. Stay straight and follow the trail passing by the Neue Welt Blick and then descending into the Leitergraben. At the crossing, turn right and follow the trail up southwards towards Hubertushaus.
Continue on the trail towards Eicherthütte and Große Kanzel and then follow the trail north-westwards towards Plackles (the highest point of Hohe Wand). Continue on the trail and descent towards Rastkreuzsattel, passing by the Scheimhittn. At the Rastkreuzsattel, ascent again by following the trail through the forest till reaching the trail up to Gelände.
After a short break at the Geländehütte, descent to Grünbach via the Eselsteig.

| 01:25 | Follow the road behind the Herrgottschnitzerhaus westwards but stay on the trail on the left handside of the road (separated from the road). |
| 01:30 | Stay on the trail straight ahead (Waldlehrpfad) towards Kohlröserlhaus. |
| 01:40 | Follow the street westwards. |
| 01:45 | Pass by the Kohlröserlhaus and continue following the street. |
| 02:00 | At the main street crossing, turn right and follow the street westwards. Again, stay on the trail on the left hand-side of the road. |
| 02:02 | Turn left towards Engelbertskirche and follow the trail downwards to the street. |
| 02:05 | Turn right and follow the small trail upwards to Almfrieden. |
| 02:15 | Enjoy the view from Almfrieden and follow the trail westwards. |
| 02:25 | Follow shortly the street but stay on the trail on the left hand-side after a few meters. |
| 02:30 | Enjoy the view from Skywalk and then follow the trail north towards Gasthof Postl. |
| 02:40 | Well deserved break at Gasthof Postl ( ). |
| 03:30 | Continue on the trail left from the parking / Gasthof and follow the forest road westwards (you might consider shortcut through the meadow). |
| 03:35 | Turn right and follow the street southwards. |
| 03:45 | At the crossing, keep right. |
| 03:50 | Pass by the Hochkogelhaus, and turn into the trail straight ahead. |
| 03:55 | Enjoy the view at the Neue Welt Blick. |
| 04:00 | Continue on the trail westwards descending to the Leitergraben. |
| 04:10 | At the Leitergraben crossing, turn right and follow the trail upwards heading south. |
| 04:30 | Enjoy the view from Hubertushaus (best enjoyed with a cold ). |
| 05:00 | Continue following the trail westwards. |
| 05:20 | Enjoy the view from Große Kanzel at the Eicherthütte (). |
| 05:40 | Follow the trail westwards towards Plackles) (take the upper trail on the right handside). |
| 05:55 | Pass by the Plackles with ist antenna and follow the forest road downwards. |
| 06:00 | At the crossing, turn left towards Rastkreuzsattel. |
| 06:10 | At the crossing stay left and then follow the trail towards Gelände. |
| 06:25 | Cross the street at Rastkreuzsattel and follow the trail upwards towards Gelände. |
| 06:40 | Ascent towards Gelände using the steep trail straight ahead. |
| 07:00 | Well deserved break ( ) at the Geländehütte. |
| 07:30 | Enjoy the view from the top of Gelände (behind the Geländehütte). |
| 07:40 | Pass by the sculptures in front of the Geländehütte and descent via the Eselweg to Grünbach. |
| 07:55 | Turn right and then left following the trail downwards to Grünbach. |
| 08:05 | Turn right and follow the street downwards. |
| 08:10 | U-Turn at the street and follow the trail towards the train station Grünbach / Schule. |
| 08:15 | At the train station Grünbach / Schule, end of the tour. |
