Scenic tour up to the scenic summit of Veliki vrh (Begunjščica) via Planina Prevala and then back via Planinski dom na Zelenici
The tour starts at the big parking at Loiblpass, exactly at the border between Slovenia and Austria. The route first follows the scenic Bornova pot trail with very promising views into the valley and surrounding mountains. The highlight of this trail is the approx. 100m long tunnel through a cliff, from its northern to its southern side. A torch is strongly recommended due to the low headroom and stones lying around. The tour then continues following a scenic trail till reaching the Planina Prevala mountain pasture with its hut. After a recommended short break, the tour then steeply ascends up till reaching the mountain plateau. On several occasions, the tour allows already a first glimpse to the iconic Lake Bled. Once reaching the plateau (full of goats in summer), the tour then ascends up to the summit of Veliki vrh (Begunjščica) with its stunning view towards Lake Bled and Hochstuhl.
The tour then descends relatively steep westwards till reaching the crossing with Slovenska geološka pot. The tour then turns sharp right and follows this sometimes exposed trail towards the Planinski dom na Zelenici hut. The trail is sometimes exposed and steep but very well protected with fixed cables. After a well-deserved break at the Planinski dom na Zelenici hut, the tour follows the easy trail eastwards back to Loiblpass.

| 01:15 | At the crossing, keep straight (slightly right) and continue following the trail to Planina Prevala. |

| 01:40 | At Planina Preval follow the steep trail up on the right hand-side of the wooden shrine (northwards). |
| 03:00 | At the plateau, keep left and follow the trail northwestwards. |
| 03:35 | Enjoy the view from the summit of Veliki vrh (Begunjščica). Best enjoyed with a self-brought refreshment (). |
| 04:00 | Descend by continuing following the trail westwards. |
| 04:35 | At the crossing, turn sharp right and follow the trail northeastwards towards Planinski dom na Zelenici. |
| 05:45 | Well-deserved break () at Planinski dom na Zelenici. |
| 06:45 | Follow the trail through the meadow eastwards. |
| 07:05 | At the crossing, keep straight and follow the trail to the marked trail. |
| 07:10 | Turn left into the trail and follow the trail eastwards back to Loiblpass. |
| 07:25 | Back at the parking Loiblpass, end of the tour. |
